About Mike

I'm Mike Fowler. For the past fifteen years I've worked where payments meet commerce, first building e-commerce and marketplace businesses, then helping banks and fintechs make it easier for businesses to get paid.

Today I lead e-commerce payments at ANZ Worldline, working across card-present, card-not-present and account-to-account payments. Much of my focus is on platform integrations, and on bringing cards and A2A together through a single integration so businesses can accept every way their customers want to pay.

Before that I worked in merchant acquiring at NAB and Commonwealth Bank, and led merchant services across APAC at Afterpay, where I built the platform integration partnerships behind more than half of Afterpay's global integrations. Earlier I led online growth at Mosaic Brands across nine national fashion brands, including launching a new marketplace.

My career started in e-commerce. I founded and sold an online apparel business in the US, and helped launch Amazon UK's apparel category as one of its founding third-party sellers.

I'm a member of the Australia Post Customer Advisory Group, and I speak and moderate at industry events including Online Retailer, Retail Fulfilment Summit and Retail Fest. I hold an MBA from La Trobe University.
